Radar sensor technology is used to implement advanced driver assistance systems, including blind spot monitoring, lane change assist, park assist rear pre-crash system, in all car segments. With the Mega Macs diagnostic series, HELLA offers a professional radar sensor calibration option under HELLA GUTMANN Solutions. The lane change assistant consists of a master and a slave control unit, which are identical in terms of their design. Together with an integrated radar sensor, both control units each form an independent component. Above the radar sensor, the control unit is fitted with a plastic cover. This cover, also known as a "radome", is made of a special material that is optimally penetrated by the radar beams. The control unit "Master" is mounted behind the bumper on the left side and the control unit "Slave" behind the bumper on the right side.
