The lane change assistant consists of a master and a slave control unit, which are identical in terms of their design. Together with an integrated radar sensor, both control units each form an independent component. Above the radar sensor, the control unit is fitted with a plastic cover. This cover, also known as a "radome", is made of a special material that is optimally penetrated by the radar beams. The control unit "Master" is mounted behind the bumper on the left side and the control unit "Slave" behind the bumper on the right side.
